Identity Theft and your Credit

Just a reminder that everyone is entitled to a yearly free credit report from each of the three credit bureaus.  Just go to http://annualcreditreport.com and it will provide navigation to help you generate all three reports.  It's important for you to review your credit reports on a regular basis to prevent identity theft.

Just be careful if you search for free credit reports.  When I used Google, the  top advertising hit links to a domain that capitalizes on a spelling mistake.  I didn't bother checking it, but I'd suspect it just for that reason.  The link I provided above is the site used by all three bureaus; Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.   You can bet that if the FTC links to it, it's a safe site.
