Alaskan Storm destroyed Antarctic Iceberg
An Alaskan Storm last October, which generated a wave that traveled 8300 miles in 6 days, caused the destruction of the B15A iceberg, breaking it into 6 pieces.
The B15A iceberg that calved off the Ross Ice Shelf in March of 2000, has calved off smaller icebergs in the past, such as the B15J in October of 2003, the B15K in December of 2003, and the B15Q in February of 2006.
The article also mentions that scientists are pondering how more frequent storms caused by a warmer ocean will effect the ice shelves.
